The Leica M4 is considered the most accomplished of the M range. Robust, heavy, it is indestructible.

The M4-2 and M4-P are slightly simplified versions but improved at the flash shoe level and they are motorized.
The removal of the self-timer lightens them a little.

The M4-P has the 28mm frame.

This M4 had the cocking blocked. The disassembly of the upper cocking block and the lower gears were necessary.

A synchronization of the lower intermediate gear and an adjustment of the high functions solved the problem.

The slow speeds were no longer functional.

The disassembly of the module, cleaning and lubrication restored its operation.
